This may just be a me thing, but I find it far too easy to get sucked into the reality of a fictional situation.  Some fiction actively encourages this - Joss Whedon, George RR Martin, and other writers who subscribe to the "happiness sucks" school of writing do their best to make it clear that, in reality, X would really, massively suck.  But ( Read more... )
